Dayton "Friday Nights" is an annual event that typically takes place June - August in Courthouse Square Park. “Friday Nights” is jointly presented by the Dayton Community Development Association (DCDA), a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization, and the City of Dayton, in collaboration with downtown businesses.   • The Dayton Events Committee was established by Resolution 2024/25-09 of the Dayton City Council on December 4, 2024. The Committee will consist of five voting members to include chair, co-chair, secretary and two other voting members plus two alternates. The voting members are to be appointed to serve three-year terms by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council. Citizen members must be at least 18 years of age. Two committee members may reside outside of Dayton city limits, all other members must be residents of the City of Dayton.
