Why does our water sometimes appear cloudy?

The simplest explanation is that our water can appear cloudy when there is excess air in our lines. Specifically, Dayton's wells are currently low for this time of year which, in combination with demand, creates aeration in the distribution lines that bring water to our homes and businesses. If you notice cloudiness in your water, allow it to settle and it will clear on its own. Please be assured that Dayton's is safe to drink.
