How long have you lived in Dayton?
6 years

Where were you born?
San Francisco, CA

Educational Background:
Bellarmine College Prep, San Jose, CA United States Naval Academy, Annapolis MD. BS, Oceanography

Career Background:
I am a San Francisco native who spent much of my youth growing up on Navy bases across the country. A varsity swimmer and water polo player at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, California, I went on to graduate from the US Naval Academy and serve as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy. After leaving active service, I survived a decade-plus stint in Oregon’s Silicon Forest in the high-tech sector before following my passion – fermentation and hospitality. I have launched multiple winery programs from ground zero and currently work at Stoller Wine Group, where I am responsible for training the next generation of wine and hospitality professionals.

What do you love most about Dayton?

I love the small town feel of our community and its rich history, which I look forward to continuing and helping to celebrate during my time on Council.

Do you have a particular area or passion regarding your work on the City Council?
I am passionate about building a city where ALL community members feel this is the best place in Yamhill County to live, work, play, bike, walk, and recreate with their family and neighbors.

Who inspires you to be better?
My family. I come from a family of service - my grandfather was Chief of Police of San Francisco; my father and two uncles all served in uniform during the Vietnam War. I firmly believe we should all give back to our communities in some fashion as a way to thank the generations who came before and have given us such a great foundation upon which to build our community.

What is the last adventure you went on?
My husband and I toured Spain and Portugal for three weeks. It was an epic trip full of history, architecture, amazing food and wine, and even better companionship. There is no one I would rather explore the world with.

If you were given 10 million dollars to spend on Dayton, how would you spend it?
I would rebuild the pedestrian bridge over the Yamhill River and ensure Dayton has a water supply and sewer infrastructure that meets the needs of the community for decades to come.
